Weekend …what is that?

Well, I do find working from home makes you forget the WEEKEND. What is it? Often I say, what day is today? And since I am working like a mad woman, trying to scrape by to finance writing, I pretty much work 7 days a week. Ok.Not pretty much. All the time. I am doing consulting, red room, writing for EC and writing for my agent. Now I got crazy and took two course that will help with a book I am writing. What WAS I thinking? Yesterday, I locked myself out of my apartment. I am sitting in front of my door and my agent calls. I pretended happy mood. Locked out is never happy mood. She ran down a list of things she had going on for me and that made happy mood a bit more, well, happy. My agent had been traveling and stuff so the last month was really slow. But boy she was rocking and rolling last week. I was pretty pumped by the time I hung up especially since Diego showed up while I talked and I hunge up the phone no longer locked out. Anyway…Happy Weekend all!

New Review for Addicted from Novelspotters

Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
July 2005
ISBN: 1-4199-0242-3 (Electronic)
Rating: 8

What could happen when two former lovers reunite for a night of passion? Should you follow your own heart, or let others lead you? Is it possible that one night could change their lives forever? Lisa Renee Jones, author of several contemporary, suspense and fantasy novels, has presented this situation in her new book, Addicted.
In one week, Samantha Reynolds will marry David Alcoid. He is everything a man is supposed to be to a woman: dependable, handsome, and a good businessperson. David is her father’s protégé, working for the family law firm. Everything is great but she wants more. At her bachelorette party, Samantha runs into former sweetheart Eric Fletcher and the sparks fly as soon as he touches her.

Three years ago, Eric left town because he was tired of trying to live up to Samantha’s father’s expectations. However, Eric comes back a successful businessman to claim Samantha for his own. He should have come back for her a long time ago. Is it too late to reclaim what they once shared?

Lisa Renee Jones has written a believable plot that could be from real life. This story makes you wonder how you would deal with the situation Samantha finds herself in. Ms. Jones creates characters with strong feelings that burn deep and a relentless sexual attraction toward each other that never dies. Ms. Jones balances her characters between the dark and the light, to find a pace that keeps you turning the pages until the end. Addicted is a fast-paced story that left me wanting more. You do not want to miss this one. So settle down in your favorite reading spot and get ready for a wonderful story that will be sure to go on your keeper shelf.
