Highs and Lows

There is this amazing high and low writers go through when they finish a book. It starts with YES I finished. And I did! YAY. I sent off THE BEAST WITHIN to my editor today. THANK YOU to all the wonderful people who proofed for me!! LOVE YOU! After this high comes the low. It’s callled the FIRST PAGE OF THE NEXT BOOK.

Starting a book at the RIGHT place can have a profound impact on the story. And lets just face it, as readers, we want to be pulled into the story from page one. So I have a blank page up and its scary. Tomorrow I have to call and do some research about Ancient Artifacts which will really help me get rolling I think. I’ve tried the net and I need the real person contact to get answers.

So…off to stare at the blank screen! Hope you Sunday is good!

update

Finished my first Nocturne! I am just going through line edits and should be done by tomorrow night and will turn it in! YAY! I am really excited about how the story took form and I have book two plotted and plan to get started right away.

The website is taking form isn’t it? It should have the final touchs soon. I am excited about how its turning out.

I have yet another dental apt in the morning and then likely oral surgery next week. Hate it but glad to get it over.

Oh watching Lost season two..it LOST its special something. I hope they get it back in season 3. It feels like they are repeating everything we already dealt with over and over…

Update on my site

Well as you can see my site isn’t done yet. It is coming though. Please forgive the construction. I know the quotes are off on the front page, out of the box and stuff. It will be better soon. My bookshelf and coming soon will be updated and organized soon, lots of fun links added, and much more!

So Monday is the oral surgeon. I’ll share this story because its like some freaky medical show story and it could really happen to anyone. I have mixed feelings about it all at this point. I’m glad I’m going to the oral surgeon to deal with this but I have had a long struggle with a medical issue. I had this huge cyst on my jaw about two years ago. It came up and it was like a golf ball. I looked like my wisdom teeth had been pulled and it went bad. They said it was MRSA which is a strep like infection that is hard to treat, common in locker rooms. Well, I am and was then especially a work out freak. 6 days a week I lived at the gym. So easy to believe. They treat it after surgery and all kinds of hell with meds. Many antibotics won’t kill it, all having having been defeated by this germ. BUT now, after many docs it seems that the MRSA is killed BUT the initial problem was NOT MRSA. Unbelievably I had a root cavity that has been slowly sending posion into my jaw over and over. So the docs were treating the infection and kept sayin I need different meds, two kinds at once, whatever. In the meantime, I never fixed the cracked tooth because I didn’t want to expose the dentist to this MRSA. I had put it off before that ,when I found the crack, because I’d had two caps from cracks (my teeth never grew together right so all the old filler they’d used to protect the teeth had worn down) and I had maxed my insurance for the year.

WELL it might not have EVER BEEN MRSA. Apparently, a bad root infection, deep in the jaw can cause an exterior cyst! AND it can be controlled by meds but the body can’t heal the root without surgery. The infection will bleed into the jaw over and over. THUS WHY I have never had this get 100% better, just saw improvement! All these specialist and doctors, and it was a freaking bad tooth! I can’t believe it. Now, the fear is I’ve had it so long that there might be bone damage and so on…so Monday they look for all of that.

So folks, don’t put off a broken tooth. This is a tiny crack that my dentists had told me I could put off but bacteria got inside the crack and its led to a nightmare. Even now the new dentist said the crack is so small she wouldn’t have freaked about it either. BUT left untreated a crack is an invitation to infection. And I am great about taking care of my teeth. I brush twice a day, never skipping. This happened to me with GREAT dental care.

So…freaky but at least its not cancer or some of the scares these docs gave me!

Onward, to better subjects..I should finish the BEAST WITHIN by tomorrow!! YAY!! I am very happy with how its turnd out too. I have a few things pending this week I hope to find out about so I can decide if I should jump into book 2 or if other things need to come first. So fingers crossed I know this week.

Underground Guardians -Finally plotted book 3!

Book Three in the series – Renegade

Called the Renegade for his fearless, often daring, approach to both, life and the battlefield, Sterling is a Black Knight who backs down to no one, especially not the Arions. He is one of the most respected Knights, known for his bravery and skill. So much so, few know he received limited amounts of experimental Super Solider drugs. What he lacks in Super Soldier powers he makes up for in dedication to the cause of defeating the Arions and saving innocents.
A trusted friend to the Knight’s leader, Mason Alexander, Sterling has been chosen to lead a small team into the city. Mason must stay behind as his first child is born, the first born to this new race of Super Soldiers. The mission Sterling must achieve: to quiet a reporter who is delving too deeply into the area 51 experiments before the enemy does.
Cassie Calhoun is on a personal mission, one where her role in the press is an asset she plans to put to use. Her father disappeared years before, a scientist who’d worked at area 51. A government representative tells her he’s transferred to another state and that they have no control over his personal contact with his daughter. Cassie knows better. Her father had shared a scandal he had stumbled onto, an experiment gone terribly wrong involving alien DNA and elite soldiers. Cassie believes his knowledge of this event led to his disappearance, and she plans to prove it.
When Sterling finds Cassie, she is sneaking into a club known to be frequented by Arions. The next thing he knows they are on the run, Arions on their tails. Cassie is quick to fight by his side and he finds her daring exciting, and, all too sexy. But he also wants to protect her….and to claim her. Sterling realized with this urge, all too powerful in its presence, he has found his on true mate. Though he has heard that all males enhanced by the alien DNA, Gtech’s as they like to call them, had only one true mate, Sterling hadn’t thought he was enhanced enough to count in that population.
Now, with passion burning like hot flames between them, Sterling battles with his desire to get Cassie underground and safe, and also help her find peace with what’s happened to her father. Her pain is like his own, her needs his greatest desire. But helping Cassie unravel her father’s mysterious disappearance proves more dangerous than expected. Seems certain members of the government don’t want them nosing around, exposing their involvement with more than just the historic DNA testing. There are people in the government helping the Arions in ways they don’t want known.
With no place above or below ground safe, Cassie and Sterling must find peace with their new bond, while seeking answers to questions they don’t even know to ask but must figure out before it’s too late. Nothing will be as it seems, and unless they learn to trust their newfound bond, they will never come out of this mission alive nor will they discover the true passion, the true pleasure that only two mates can share.
