James…James Bond

Well last night we went to the movies and it was crazy busy! We were too late to see Denzel and sit anyplace that didnt’ require sitting in an unnatural position. So we stayed and watched the next timeslot for Bond which sold out so we were lucky we got in early.

Here is my take. One..the man looks so like my EX husband of 17 years it was distracting. It really really was. I mean he is such a splitting image. Even his body. My ex - when he is in shape, which he was when I married him and for many years- has the exact body type. Same hair, same bright eyes only they are greenish, and even same skin tone. It freaked me out.

That said, I loved that Bond fought and seemed like a real man who did battle not some gatchet carrying wimp. So that appealed. I didn’t like that he fell in love so damn easy in the movie. That didn’t fit Bond to me. And if I wrote that in my books, my editors would go WTF Lisa!? And you the readers, most likely would too!

I also liked that they made him human from the standpoint of making mistakes and then fixing them…I won’t say more for those who haven’t seen it. My final take though - Craig is better than the Bond before in my eyes. Still not Connery and I think they really NEEDED a younger more Connery type guy who could carry things farther. Craig might be in shape but his face isn’t aging well.

Anyone else see a movie? What about the fountain? I am torn about seeing that one…

Oh and I STILL have popcorn stomach this morning. Blah. I ate so much salt and junk yesterday I have yet to eat today. I feel like my face it two times its normal size, not to mention my backside! lol

Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m back! I know. I was a very bad blogger. I had a slight little deadline freak out which turned out to be way not needed. I am going to be done early. I think part of it was performance anxiety. I’m not sure what sparked it but it seems to have gone and I am so so thankful!

I have prizes. Several great ones no one has claimed so I need to give them away. So anyone who post on my blog between now and the 31st will be on the drawing. I’ll add the names daily so you can get an entry a day.

So for Thanksgiving we are cooking a little meal and staying home. Just me and Diego and his son. My kids are with their father and that feels really sad to me tonight. They are really grown. One is 23 and the other 17 but its still hard. My youngest is in the state football championships so they have practice tomorrow! Then we go to game two Saturday about 3 hours away.

Late tomorrow we are going to one to two movies. DeJaVu (is tht how you spell it?) for sure. Thinking about the Fiction movie too. Anyone seen it?

What are you guys doing for Turkey day?

Monday

Well I had to go for a test today where they make you drink 32 oz of water first except I it wasn’t enough. 60 oz of water before they were satisfied. Need I say more? Have you ever drank that much water in 2 hours without excercising hard? Good grief.

Anyway, Thursday afternoon my Blaze editor called and talked about my new proposals. I was really happy because she said good things:) Now I just have to finish book one! Which I am working working working on! Page 179 today. The weekend flew by. We went to Barnes and Noble Sunday and stayed there from 10am to 4 - I wrote and Diego studied. My life is exciting lol! Tell me - PLEASE…anyone do something exciting so I can live through your experiences?

Football Friday

I was just reading through everyone’s Christmas movie list. Diego and I love to watch Christmas movies. We also make a Christmas CD every year of our favorites. I plan to give out a ton of them to readers. It’s so fun to make them and then to share.

We won the football game in overtime and what an exciting game. 51 to 48. It was cold and loud and fun. We ate nachos, drank starbucks coffee I smuggled in in my starbucks sealable mug in my Nocturne bag lol!

I actually made some good progress on my Blaze today but I am still behind where I need to be. I have a plan done up for where I need to be by the end of the weekend and if I make that goal I will feel 100% better!

Right now the movie Fun with Dick and Jane is playing on our TV. I think the only funny thing about this movies is Jim Carey. Not a good movie. I see why it bombed. Anyone else see it?

Where oh where

Are the calm days. Crazy days. Busy days. Today we went to Borders so I could try and write. We go there a lot. We buy a lot. Today the new cafe manager made a big scene when Diego brought me a protein drink into the cafe. No outside food. Diego got so mad. It wasn’t what she did but how she did it - nice and loud - like a kid in front of class who’d just been called on something bad. We left. I put back the books I was going to buy. I told her to tell the manager, who I talk to quite a bit, to call me.

Oh well. These things happen. On a good note Diego brought me beautiful Flowers just because later in the day.

I am ending the day doing promo work with Diego in the background laughing at Chevy Chase taking if family to Wally World. Every once in the while I look up and have to laugh. Chevy is funny and man he was so young back then. LOVE Christmas Vacation the most though. What is your favorite XMAS movie?
