Saturday

Sorry I have been gone a few days. I find when I am finishing a project I get in such a zone! But the three Blaze chapters I owed my editor for CONTROLLED PLEASURE are off!

I went to the bookstore to work today and oh my gosh! That place was a MADHOUSE! Christmas shopping is in full swing for sure!

Okay so I have prizes and I leave for NYC the Monday after next so…how can I give them out….hmmmm….I’ll think of a clever way and post the drawing methods tomorrow!

So I’ve found ebay. Diego sells big there but I’ve never shopped there. But I started looking and there were things that cost big bucks for cheap. So I tested the water. I bought a couple shirts for cheap and they were great. Rampage and other name brands…Then I bought a pair of Abercrombie Jeans that are like $70 in the store for $8 and they fit perfect! Love them. Okay so I am now addicted! I can get a wardrobe for the price of a pair of pants!

I bought TWENTY Glade candles for $16! 20! And they are awesome. The ones that cost $6 a piece in the store!

Anyone else addicted?

You know your man loves you when…

He sits in a doctors office for 2 hours to wait on you and doesn’t complain. Then you can’t fidn your car in the garage and you walk it laughing together!

I was just reading through everyone’s Christmas CD suggestions for last minute ideas and there are so many great ones!! Thank you! If you sent me your address for a CD they should go out this weekend!:)

Three things I am thankful for…

-My kids!
-My man who has supported me in so many ways
-A chance for a great tomorrow!

Things I want to do in my lifetime…more than three! I couldn’t help myself:

-See my youngest son on a College and NFL football field
-Make the NY Times list
-Travel to too many places to list them all!
-Skydive
-ski
-snorkel
-scuba
-See Diego achieve his dream and open his medical office in Colorado

And I could go on and on!

So how many of you ARE going to see the new Mel Gibson movie about the pyramids? I find them so intriquing. I am excited to see it. You know the Maya calender ends in 2012 which is when they thought earth would end. What do you guys think about that?

crazy days

WOW Guy B got ALL the votes! Never expect that! Though he IS hot! I just thought there would be varied likes but I guess some men just got the IT factor in a big way! B certainly does!

Oh- Prize winner tomorrow! I have new prizes. I also have my November basket winner going in my newsletter that will hit this weekend:) I have a new prize picture to go up too!

The holiday is such a busy time and with us leaving in 2 weeks to NYC for 9 days its crazier than ever. I have deadlines, promo, and personal stuff all mixed together into hectic times. Okay short post tonight because YUK! Getting up at 6am and its almost 1. I HATE mornings like that because I am not used to them!

Taking CD orders! LOL! They are free. If you want one of my CD’s we put together then email me your address at LISARENJONES@AOL.com

One thing on my mind tonight is things that I am grateful for. My kids top that list as always. I had so many good things this year and I am grateful. But in the end, good health and people you love is what really makes a day, a week, a life, great.

If you had to make a top three list of things you are grateful for this year what would they be?

AND if you could pick 3 things you want to do in this lifetime you haven’t yet, what would they be?

I’ll give you my answers tomorrow!

Sunday Night

Hello!!

So lately lots of authors have been talking about writing full time. I do - sort of! I do other author promo work and enjoy it. But working from home isn’t as easy as a lot of people think. It can distract you and be hard to stay focused. I find when I am in a crunch the best thing for me to do is to get up and be at the bookstore when the open like I am going to work. Then I sit there 7 or 8 hours. It works. I will have windows of weeks and weeks I do this about every day. The thing about working from home is the days of the week run together. Though I have to say I enjoy sitting at my desk with candles burning and the Christmas tree near by at the time of the year. I’m a complete candle freak and the holiday brings it out big time.

I’ve always put my tree up on Thangsiving Day then on Christmas Eve one present each gets opened. What’s your tradition?

Oh and Christmas King time! Read an excerpt here:

Reviews

“I went through this book in two hours because I couldn’t put it down until I finished it.[…] Lisa Renee Jones certainly knows how to pen an extraordinary Christmas tale that readers won’t soon forget”.

4.5 Blue Ribbons - Angel, Romance Junkies

“CHRISTMAS KING is an interesting story by Ms. Jones. You can tell from the writing that Alexis is strong, smart and loves with her whole heart. Alcron was a challenging character in that he had been fantasy and now Ms. Jones had to bring him into reality for Alexis. Alcron in reality is to die for! […] Starting as a slow burn the sex slowly turned into a sizzling sensual symphony. […] I hope that Ms. Jones decides to return to Warcon and introduce us to more of the mystical characters. Overall CHRISTMAS KING is a scorching heavenly romance that will keep you warm on the coldest winter night”.

4/5 Stars - Julie Esparza, JERR
