IS AMAZING! Sending it to your editor for review is like sending a child to college. You LOVE that its done but your so afraid of how your baby will do in the real world!

That’s where I am at with Beast of Darkness. It’s done!! WOOHOO! Now it must be judged…

So Beast of Desire is March 08! YAY again. Beast Within is November and then four months later Beast of Desire!

Reviews are coming in on Hard and Fast and people seem to be liking the book! I am really realized. Thanks to those of you who reviewed the book (I will be posting them on the site VERY soon!) and those of you who have let me know you’ve seen it! Finally, me too! My mom called me to tell me she was at Walmart and so was I. I was asleep but I was glad to wake up for that news!

Books — new update! What are you reading? I am half through Cristina Dodd’s Scent of Darkness and really really liking it! Post a book review to enter this weeks contest! This will let us all get good new books to check out and I will draw from the people who post. I still have lots of goodies! Oh and tomorrow I will be going through last weeks blog to catch up and will post last weeks prize winners. For the winners I just posted last Sunday night I have your prizes sealed but they need to be mailed. Tomorrow! Promise!

One of our bloggers Rita sent me these fun little sayings this week and I love them. Here are a few of my favorites.. (they were better with the cute pictures she had lol!

–I saw a woman wearing a sweat shirt with “Guess” on it. So I said “Implants?” She hit me.

–How come we choose from just two people to run for
president and over fifty for MissAmerica ?

–A good friend will come and bail you out of jail…but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, “Wow…that was fun!”

–I signed up for an exercise class and was told to wear loose-fitting clothing. If I HAD any loose-fitting clothing, I wouldn’t have signed up in the first place!

–Wouldn’t it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press ‘Ctrl Alt Delete’ and start all over?

–Why is it that our children can’t read a Bible in school, but they can in prison?

PS — I have an odd obsession with carrot cake right now. Diego brought me a piece for dinner one night and now I can’t get enough. (We love Luby’s — a cafeteria here with mac and cheese and yes, CARROT CAKE) Never thought I loved Carrot Cake.

What’s your obsession these days? Tell me please so I won’t be alone…if its food even better. I won’t be five pounds heavier and alone lol!

I am just keeping this one big post because its all one subject…. Oh- way behind on email today so if you sent me your address for the contest I am not ignorning you! I am soooo near the end of BEAST OF DARKNESS I just looked up and its 1am and I have NO CLUE how that happened!! I tend to get into tunnel vision when finishing a book because plot point and things have to be tied up and I get deep into thinking through the holes, praying I find them all!

So — this picture is from RWA — This was Saturday before the Rita’s. The Nocturne ladies — many of us — got together. Loved this little chat. What an amazing talented group. I feel really honored to be among them. I stole this phote from Lori Devoti! Thanks Lori!

Now, here is my story about that night. There was a heavy cement ledge right at head level when sitting. Everyone warned everyone not to hit it. I got up and came back and smash. STARS folks. Tears. I got sick to the stomach. That night the knot was so huge I couldn’t sleep on my back. I coouldn’t for nights. And I stayed sick to the stomach. Still its sore and swollen. Everyone just sort of stared at me like OH CRAP what now?! They didn’t know any more than me if I was keeling over or not!
Poor ladies. Meet me once and they find out how accident prone I am! Now its funny. My accidents are many. I know this. People who know me well acept it:)

!! I am home for a full day now and I slept in my own bed! I love that. I just have this home instinct and need to be here. SOOO much to tell. I figured I’d share a little each day and just update the post. First PRIZE WINNERS WOOHOO! Lots of goodies to give out. I will draw a big group again from this weeks post on Monday.

–I completely loved those lilttle things people shared last week! That was fun. The best thing we’ve done so far to me. It gives you a real feel for people and made me feel like I know a few of you beyond the net.

Well I am off tomorrow for Dallas. RWA is kicking things into gear fast. The book signing is Wednesday and there are lots of other things that day too. I’ve never had quite such a booked RWA schedule nor have I had so many people I look forward to meeting. I really am excited about what I think is going to be great fun with lots of productive business too! I am determined to take lots more pictures than at RT. I’ll try to post some during the week!

Winners…I’ll draw them the first post after I return and I’ll draw five names. I’ll have lots more goodies to mail then. I’ll draw from any post this week and any posts last week. Loved the jokes last week! I passed quite a few on to my mom. She loves a good laugh and I just couldn’t resist!

Oh- I went shopping! fun! I actually bought several dresses. I meant to get other things too but they fit and they were on sale. What can I say? That worked for me. I also got my hair colored and cut today. I have to prepare. No putting on my shorts and sitting in my home office this week!

I also dieted all week for this and lost guess how much?!! NOTHING! Not one pound! This is the part of 40 I don’t like. I did an hour of cardio 7 straight days and 30-40 minutes of weights. I do hard cardio too. And I lost NOTHING. How does that happen? Someone please tell me? I didn’t cheat. It seems the age meter makes weight stick like glue. Oh well. I didn’t gain lol! For that I am happy! The problem is I will at the convention.

I have a fun idea for this week….tell me something about not many people would know. And remember I will pick the contest winners from this weeks posters and last week and choose five…

Here is the thing most people don’t know about me — My maiden name was PICKEL(SNICKER***** IS Pickel — see how I am still in denial at 40?!) — that’s spelled PICKEL not PICKLE…..All through school I got ‘Are you sweet or sour Pickel?’ from the boys. There was only one answer — YOU WILL NEVER FIND OUT! My worst nightmare was 7th grade when Mr. Bostick (I will NEVER forget his name) called roll the first day of school and started laughing when he got to me and then said ‘Will the Pickel please stand up’

So now you know why I don’t write under my maiden name!
