The good news is that I turned in my March 1 book and my editor was pleased — YAY! My Nocturne BITE is due MONDAY — RETURN OF THE BEAST. The Beast 5 proposal and 3 chapters is due April 1 and a proposal I am working on with another 2 authors is due like NOW. So April 1 seems to be the escape date.

But that is April fools day…ouch. Okay April 2nd is the escape the black hole date!

If anyone has emailed me my aol has locked up several times. Once it hits 999 emails it freezes. I’ve had big problems keeping up with all my readers loops in deadlines so I apologize. PLEASE do email me again! I normally respond quickly. This is just a packed time. Literally. I still have boxes untouched!

Oh want a laugh. Someone named BIGBALLBUSTERS emailed me and told me my husband was cheating on me….The one I divorced 4 years ago. LOL! Waving to Big Ball Busters, whoever you are. Thanks anyway! Always nice to know when you are cheated on — thankfully not the case:) Snicker. That was good for a laugh at least. Gotta love it!

1- I thought I hated cats. Then Diego(DH) found this poor kitty at the dumpster. She looked like a rat. Very skinny! We started feeding her and then brought her to the patio. Then the house. Then the vet. Turns out she is some rare oriental breed worth a pretty penny (which matters NOT) but must have gotten lost from her owner. Turns out she is supposed to be skinny - just not like when we found her - and she has short soft hair that barely sheds. We had her scanned for a chip and secretly prayed we got to keep her. She is such a sweetie. I don’t know how we lived without her. Orientals are gentle and rather dog-like. They follow you everywhere and cry outside your door if you shut it. They don’t hiss and they meet you at the door when you come home. They are so very patient with little kids too.

2-My fiancee is 9 years younger than me.

3-I never even considered writing until 2003. I did however do some independant film and had a creative side. It was when I started to sell my company I owned that I started feeling the creative vibe again and needed an outlet. I loved books and somehow one day, I just knew that was what my creativity had to be directed towards.

4-I spend years creating change in the corporate world but in my personal life I like things the same. My little routines, my space, my gym, my habits. I get very out of sorts when they are disrupted. It’s a real contradiction from the way I was running a large company but I deal with craziness well as long as I have my personal escape zone.

5-I am a workout freak. I always had to watch my weight but about 8 years ago I decided I wanted to really get in shape. I actually got in such great shape I considered some fitness contests. Then, Diego came along and reminded me how much I love to eat more than oatmeal, protein bars, and protein shakes! I’ll never be in contest shape again but I still workout 6 days a week and I mean every week, all 6 days, never cheating. It makes me insane to miss. I know……that brings me to the next thing.

6- CONTROL freak. Yes that is me. I am so much better now that I left the corporate world but I think that is why I need my little habits too. I need to have control!

7- I know Judo and competed when I was younger. Yes I am an ultimate fighter fan too!

Also, I am trying to bake. It’s a stretch. Believe me it is. In other words, HELP! Can anyone tell me WHY WHY WHY my cakes keep rising too much in the middle and cracking as they cool?
