Writer Workshop #2: “Is your manuscript ready to be published?”

ABOUT THE CLASS:
You did it! You didn't just say one day I will write a book. You actually WROTE A BOOK. But how do you know it's really good? How do you know it's ready to send to agents and publishers?
Agents get paid one hundred percent on commission and will be looking for the same things they know publishers want to publish. That means story, plot, prose, grammar, character and more. While this class will not deep dive into these items it will do a final manuscript polish to ensure your submission is ready.

In this two hour interactive Zoom class she will mentor you, answer questions, provide guidance and samples of what you need to be prepared to write yourself.
This session will include but will not be limited to:
- The first page and the first line of your book
- Why the first three chapters matter
- Chapter transitions
- Chapter word count
- How clean is your manuscript and what does that even mean?
- What's the difference in all three
Participants will have the opportunity to submit chapters to be reviewed in class. The instructor will not critique your story as publishable or not, as that is often individual opinion. Guidance on basic publishing requirements and polishing your work will be the focus.
A question and answer session will be the conclusion of the event but questions are welcomed throughout the event
